Description:
This course is an investigation into human body structure and function through the lens of common diseases of public health concern. The basic chemical and physiological functions of the body are understood through the pathology of conditions where things go wrong with those functions. Examples of diseases studied are: addiction,  sexually transmitted infections, diabetes, and heart disease. Note: This course may be taken alone as a 3 credit biology course OR in conjunction with BIO102 Human Biology Laboratory as a 4 credit biology course.
