A study of the components of building construction that relate to fire and life safety. The focus of this course is on firefighter safety. The course discusses the key elements of construction and design of structures as factors when inspecting buildings, preplanning fire operations, and operating at emergencies. This course is an approved course in the Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education(FESHE) Recognition Program sponsored by FEMA.
