Description:
This course studies the problems of youth, concentrating on the detection, prevention, control, and processes of rehabilitation of delinquents. The Juvenile Court system, with its substantive rules and procedures as well as area protective services, are discussed. Also includes the special problem of drug usage by youths. Formerly SOCI 303. Prerequisite: SOCI 203 Criminology or departmental approval.
