This course will provide an introduction to grape growing (viticulture) and winemaking (enology). Students will learn the basics of horticulture and apply these principles to growing grape varieties suited to this region. This course covers the history of viticulture; grapevine anatomy; vineyard establishment; worldwide grape and wine production, and world wine regions.
